Edward Christopher’s The Ripple — Imperial Violet Edition is the first-drop violet colourway with a 3D rippled brass dial, violet exhibition rotor, and integrated steel bracelet. Official tech specs on the live product page print the fit trio that matters for ~6.5": Ø38 mm, lug-to-lug 42.5 mm, thickness 9.8 mm. Water resistance is 50 m / 5 ATM — dress and everyday, not a diver. The automatic is a Miyota 9039 with a custom violet vented rotor (Super-LumiNova on the rotor), about 42 hours, hacking, and an exhibition back with flat sapphire AR both sides.

SKU RPL-1-MTL-IPVT-26. The storefront lists this as a pre-order; hero copy reads First Drop — 25 numbered pieces. Pre-order now. Due September 2026. As of 28 Sep it was listed as available to pre-order; the brand does not publish how many of the 25 remain. Dispatch language on the storefront also references October 2026 in places — treat timing as pre-order / production lag, not next-day stock.

Not this piece: the mirrored-dial The Ripple — Imperial Violet (Special Edition) is a separate SKU RPL-1-MTL-SPEDVLT-26, different price, and a different stock story. Do not mix SE press or “sold out” language into this first-drop Violet article.

Fit literacy filter

Lead on official L2L 42.5 mm and 9.8 mm — not the 38 mm diameter alone. Official 42.5 is shorter than WristFit’s usual 45–48 mm starting band for ~6.5"; brand wrist range 5.7–9.25 in (14.5–23.5 cm) explicitly includes 6.5". Integrated architecture + up to 8 mm clasp micro-adjust helps sizing; continuous metal footprint still wants honesty — pure UK DTC, no Singapore AD tray. Soft ~S$1,550 (about ~US$1,300 on US settings) is the store’s automatic conversion from the £975 list price — moves with exchange rates; not a published Singapore MSRP. Check the final price at checkout. See lug-to-lug, sizing, and 6.5" wrist size.

Official numbers (Edward Christopher PDP)

The Imperial Violet product page “Full Technical Specification” block agrees on a marine-grade 316L stainless case, screw-down crown at 4 o’clock, no bezel — twelve angular dial-edge cuts, flat sapphire with AR on dial and exhibition back, and a custom quick-release integrated 316L bracelet (brushed / polished) with violet motif on the clasp. After bracelet removal, any standard 20 mm strap or bracelet fits. Stated weight 137 g. Dial: 3D rippled brass with Edward Christopher® motif; faceted leaf hands with BGW9 (standard colourway uses silver hands — not the Special Edition’s violet hands).

Integrated bracelet — short span, render caveat

Official copy positions the Ripple as a dress watch with bracelet-as-case integration: quick-release links, brushed and polished surfaces, and a clasp with micro-adjustment up to 8 mm. Edward Christopher’s Our Collection footnote states: “The Ripple bracelet shown in preview images is an exact digital render of the new president-style design arriving October 2026.” That applies to the hero preview above; the lume and caseback shots below are official brand packshots, not renders. We credit the brand and do not claim these self-hosted stills are a Singapore wrist try-on.

On ~6.5" (≈16.5 cm), integrated dress pieces fail more often on first-link flare and clasp bulk than on a 42.5 mm tip-to-tip. Brand range includes your wrist size on paper; there’s no Singapore stockist to try it on, so the fit read comes from official measurements — confirm at order time or when the piece ships.

Fit on ~6.5″ — strong paper candidate, pre-order honesty

On a ~6.5" wrist, official 38 × 42.5 × 9.8 is a strong paper candidate. Diameter sits in the compact dress band. Lug-to-lug 42.5 is shorter than WristFit’s usual 45–48 mm starting filter and in the same span class as the Farer Integra Cuprum’s official 42 or Tudor Royal 36’s 42.4. Integrated lugs remove projecting overhang; the continuous bracelet footprint is still the variable.

Score it a good fit candidate on published geometry, not a free pass, and not something that lands next week — pre-order production runs first. The fit checker can take official 42.5. See integrated styles and microbrands for small wrists.

Soft SGD / Singapore buying path

List price is £975 on the UK storefront. With country set to Singapore, the store’s automatic conversion lands around ~S$1,550; with US settings, around ~US$1,300 — both figures move with exchange rates and are not a fixed published Singapore MSRP. Card FX, checkout rounding, and tax lines can move the final number; check the price on checkout before you pay.

Singapore path: UK DTC only — edwardchristopher.com. Singapore is listed in the country / delivery selector. Shipping policy and PDP banners advertise free worldwide shipping; international orders ship DDP with taxes calculated at checkout — brand copy: nothing further to pay on delivery when DDP applies. The brand’s checkout widget for Singapore mentions 9% GST — treat it as an estimate and check the final total at checkout. Asia in-stock ETA is often quoted 3–7 business days; pre-order pieces follow the production timetable first. Returns: 30-day (resaleable); 5-year international warranty with registration within 30 days per PDP.

That lands soft Band 2 (S$1–3k planning band) around ~S$1,550 at today’s FX from the £975 list. See Singapore buying and Band 2.

Reality check

The Ripple Imperial Violet first drop is a strong ~6.5" paper candidate because Edward Christopher published Ø38 / L2L 42.5 / 9.8 — not because “38 mm dress” is a magic label. Those three figures are official; the brand does not publish how many of the 25 numbered pieces remain. This is pre-order with Sep / Oct 2026 timing tension — not AD stock. Soft ~S$1,550 / ~US$1,300 are store auto-conversions from the £975 list price — they move with FX and are not a Singapore MSRP or landed total until you check checkout (expect 9% GST language in the brand widget). The hero is a brand digital render of the president-style bracelet — see caption. Not the mirrored Special Edition SKU. Path is Edward Christopher DTC only.
